Abbeydale residential care home was taken over by new ownership in April 2008. The owners are family run businesses that possess a wealth of knowledge and experience in the care home industry amounting to over 20 years experience collectively. Each Director has their niche area of expertise and has enriched Abbeydale with their specialist knowledge to help achieve the highest standards of care.

The registered home manager at Abbeydale is Sharon Jones. Abbeydale boasts a core element of staff who have worked at Abbeydale for a number of years. Abbeydale encourages its staff to sit and chat with residents and to get to know them on a personal basis and find out about their life history.

Abbeydale provides an excellent monitoring and support system for all staff. The owners and management are approachable and available to talk to both staff, relatives and friends at all times.

Since acquisition, the owners have purchased a great deal of up to date new machinery including laundry equipment, kitchen equipment, a rug doctor which is a specialist cleaning apparatus, and a drugs fridge.

Abbeydale has also recruited a handyman, who ensures that the building is maintained to exceptionally high standards and has recruited a number of senior carers who have achieved NVQ level 3 statuses. Abbeydale believes that employing highly qualified staff will enhance the high standards of care that are practised at Abbeydale.
