We are a pre-school providing care for children aged 2 to 4 years. We run four days a week in term time from St Andrew's Church, Woodward Road, Prestwich
We are a pre-school playgroup and we're a bit different. We are not connected to a school so it's not a pre-school/nursery class with a teacher and we offer a short session (9.30am - 2.30pm) so we are not open as long as daycare nurseries. We have more staff in the room than pre-school usually do (there are 8 if us all-together) and we take children from age 2 to reception age and we mix all the ages together. Our maximum numbers per day are around 30 children.
Some children do 4 sessions a week, some 3, some 2 and some 1 session a week. Some children go to other pre-schools for 2 and half days - then come to us for the remainder of the week which can be a cheaper option than paying for the extra days in pre-school. Some children just come to us and not pre-school elsewhere. We are a not-for-profit organisation and have been going nearly 30 years and are rated "Good" by OFSTED. We are happy to have children still in nappies and will not rush you to get your child out of nappies until they are truly ready.
Our dedicated team of staff (known as "The Aunties") are friendly, approachable and professional. We have been caring for children in Prestwich and Salford since 1993 and are how can I put it - slightly more mature! Most of us are mums ourselves.
