There are lots of ways you can support your child with their speech, language and communication development at home and you will be doing so many helpful things already.

The best times to support your child’s speech, language and communication skills happen during your everyday moments together such as during a nappy change, snack time or when out for a walk together.

Practical Support - What if I have more concerns?

Early years

Nurseries know about our pathway and how to support children with speech language and communication needs – we recommend speaking to key staff in the first instance about your concerns.

School age (Bury School)

If your child attends a Bury Primary School, then parents can raise concerns with school staff who can then speak to their link Speech and Language Therapist

If your child does not attend a Bury Primary School, is high school aged or is in Education Otherwise Than at School (EOTAS), please contact us to discuss referral.
