Greater Manchester (GM) - Falls Prevention

Attached is the ‘Greater Manchester Falls Prevention Awareness Week 2024-Social Media Toolkit’. This contains our objectives for the week, key messages, along with suggested social media content and video titles.

You can download the video assets, including subtitles in the document and here: via WeTransfer here. If you are able to share the content across your social media networks, that would be great. Please do also share with colleagues across your organisation, or partner organisations who would find this useful. A range of content is also being shared from our GMCA twitter account: @greatermcr, The GM Ageing Hub account: @GMAgeingHub and the NHS Greater Manchester account: @NHS_GM.

The Greater Manchester Falls Collaborative ‘Community of Learning, Sharing and Problem Solving’ Session 5-Thursday 26th September 2024 (10:30am-12pm)

On Thursday, we will be hosting the 5th session of our 12-month programme. The session is themed around ‘Raising Awareness’ and will give a brief overview of the resources available for ‘Falls Prevention Awareness Week’. We also have the team from Rochdale providing a ‘deep dive’ into their fall’s pathway across community, clinical and care (see agenda attached). Please do share the details for this session with any colleagues that might find this useful.

The Greater Manchester Falls Collaborative Insight and Impact Survey: We want to hear from you!! Link to survey here: https://forms.office.com/e/APyFm4uZgA

We have pulled together a brief survey to gather your feedback in relation to your involvement and participation in the Greater Manchester Falls Collaborative since its launch in January 2022. We are keen to hear about what you are doing in relation to falls prevention (practice and policies), in what ways the collaborative may have supported or influenced falls prevention activity in your locality, to understand any barriers you are facing and to provide an opportunity for you to provide suggestions for the future. It is really important that we capture this to ensure the future sustainability of the collaborative, and to make sure that we adapt based on the needs/support required by the system. The email should take no more than 5 minutes to complete. If anyone would like to share any additional information or documents aside from the survey, please do email me directly.
