National Child Measurement Programme - Bury Snapshot November 2023

The annual Naonal Child Measurement Programme (NCMP) measures the height and weight of over onemillion children aged 4-5 and 10-11 years in primary schools in England.

This briefing summarises the results for Bury for 2022/23 compared to England and to 2021/22. There are also breakdowns by ward and neighbourhood based on where the child lives for those classed as overweight (including obesity) and obesity (including severe obesity) for 3 years data combined (2020/21 – 2022/23).

State of the Borough Report 2023

During 2020, the community strategy for Bury was published – our “LET’S Do It!” strategy. This sets out the top seven outcomes that need to be achieved to deliver the LET’S vision of ensuring that Bury achieves faster economic growth than the national average, with lower than national average levels of deprivation.
