Mental wellbeing for People with a Learning Disability

Mental wellbeing for People with a Learning Disability

People with a learning disability are more likely to experience poor mental wellbeing than the general population.

Partners in Bury have created two videos to raise awareness of this and help people with a learning disability improve their mental wellbeing, and to share ideas with carers and support workers about how they can improve someone’s mental wellbeing.

5 Ways to Wellbeing Video for People with Learning Disabilities

Evidence suggests there are 5 steps you can take to improve your mental health and wellbeing. Trying these things could help you feel more positive and able to get the most out of life.  This video explains how people with a learning disability can look after their mental wellbeing using the 5 Ways to Wellbeing theme.

Carers and support workers can also use the video to explain to someone the useful things they can do to improve their wellbeing.
