Post Covid Assessment Service
People who are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 for 4 weeks or more and which are not explained by an alternative diagnosis may be suffering from Post Covid Syndrome, also known as Long Covid. Symptoms of Post Covid Syndrome can include breathlessness, chronic fatigue, “brain fog”, anxiety and stress.
People who suspect they are suffering with Post Covid Syndrome can be referred by their GP to a specialist Assessment clinic. Once referred to the service, the Post Covid Assessment Service will make contact with the patient and an expert team of professionals will assess their condition and provide ‘treatment and’ support in accessing services that support their recovery.
If you have had symptoms of COVID-19 for 4 weeks or more, you should contact your GP. They will carry out a series of tests to rule out other causes for your symptoms and, if appropriate, refer you to the Post Covid Syndrome Assessment Service for specialist support and guidance.
