Bury Independent Living Developments

About this service

Bury ILD is a family led service founded in 1993 by a group of parents who wished to see their sons and daughters who have learning disabilities settled in homes of their own, with the support that they needed.

For adults with learning disabilities. BuryILD supports people to live as tenants in their own home and also may provide support to individuals who still live in the family home. BuryILD tailors support to meet individual's needs from 24 hour support to a few hours, seven days per week.

We also support people to learn and grow as independent people, learning new and interesting skills along the way.

We are a leading local employer, with over 50 paid staff as well as a number of longstanding volunteers.
