About this service
What we do...
Bury Youth Service offers targeted and universal youth groups, detached youth work and 1 to 1 mentoring support to empower young people with their Transition to adulthood through informal, political and social education.
Also incorporated is the co-ordination of the Duke of Edinburgh scheme for the borough. Youth Participation projects enable the voice of young people throughout the borough to be heard and involved in decision making processes, locally and nationally.
Age range: 11-19 (up to 25 SEND/Care Experienced)
Our Objectives...
All young people in Bury will have the opportunity to contribute to the development of services for them – directly and through training for partners to understand the importance of young people’s involvement.
All young people in Bury will have the opportunity to share their voice through national democratic processes.
All Young People in Bury will have access to opportunities and activities that they enjoy, and which directly support their development, individual identity, interests and wellbeing and provide a positive platform to adulthood through informal social and political education.
