We are a clinical research company. Established in 1988 we and our patients help develop improved treatments for dementia and other therapy areas through clinical trials.

Our staff number of more that 100 and comprises a multi-disciplinary group of psychiatrists, psychologists, doctors, nurses and researchers. We work with GP surgeries, NHS departments, pharmacies, charities and support groups to inform people of relevant trials that may offer help with their condition. We also use print, radio, TV advertising and social media.

Volunteers can self-refer. Our skilled medical and administration teams in Manchester, Blackpool, Leeds and Cannock clinics provide participants with the highest standards of care, emphasising dignity and respect. MAC always ensures that the GP is informed of the progress throughout the trial. We currently provide the memory Assessment service in our Blackpool and Leeds clinics.

Most people who take part in research value the opportunity to make a difference for the future treatment of their condition, take a more active role in their healthcare and can give them a chance to try new treatments that are not yet available outside research studies. Participants will be given a free health check and study medication.

MAC Clinical Research is a Bury Dementia Action Alliance member and is committed to improving the lives of people living with dementia and their carers.
