Manchester Prosthetic Users' Association (MPUA) is a new voluntary organisation, comprised of a group of enthusiastic volunteers, all existing prosthetic users, who share in the vision for MPUA to support and empower the prosthetic users of Greater Manchester to live "as normal a life as possible".

We are primarily focused on the 3,000+ prosthetic users, both existing and prospective, who attend the Specialised Ability Centre Manchester (SACM), which is the Prosthetics Centre for Greater Manchester.

We have launched a new website www.mpua.org.uk, which explains our activities for supporting prosthetic users and how they can contact us.

One of our key activities is offering peer-to-peer support, with one of our trained volunteers, to an existing or prospective prosthetic user over a coffee, ideally when they’re attending the Centre.
