ALL ABOUT MY ENGLISH TEACHING PRACTICE

My English Teaching approach is based entirely around YOUR desires, needs and expectations. I focus on what YOU need to do to learn English and let that guide what I teach and how I teach it.

I discover what you already know and understand of the English Language, then build from there using many different learning materials and activities.

I use an easy, communicative approach with clear, attainable goals for each lesson. You can select the lesson topics you want from a very wide range; from more personalised things such as everyday dialogues and common activities or situations, to topics such as news stories, famous people, famous places, famous things etc.  I have many topics for my English Classes.

Firstly, I will present the new English material, we will practice it together and then finally you can perform the new language yourself in improved English.

I will assess how well you did and give you positive feedback, any constructive criticisms.  I.e. in what things you might improve your English and how to do it.  I will give you lots of encouragement and English tips.

We can focus on a particular skill that you need to develop more than others, for example English writing or English pronunciation or English presentation skills.

Learning English should be mostly fun, so, if desired, I will keep English grammar down to a minimum and I will always encourage you to do as much English speaking as possible.

You can ask as many questions as you wish, as these help us both! Whatever your level, age, nationality - I will do my best to help develop your English skills while making it fun, interesting but very rewarding for you.

My personal style is supportive, encouraging and very positive!

I can also coach you in English Language skills for interviews, such as university entry or job candidacy.

With additional experience in managing my own business in Spain and working for companies in China and UK.  I also offer my services to companies in Manchester with staff from overseas whose standard of English might be improved to communicate better and improve their overall job performance.

I teach on-site in 1-1 sessions or small groups to develop English fluency and business English writing practice.  I tutor corporate employees up to senior management level in business and general English.  I also train in a variety of business and management issues with specialised core subject vocabulary, such as negotiating contract terms and customer service.

I focus on developing specific skills; email correspondence and proof-reading, pronunciation and accent reduction through to presentation skills.  I will prepare relevant study and teaching resources to suit the individual learners' needs.

My main aim is to help your staff make a better contribution to your company's performance and success through their own professional development.
