Assistance with travel to school (mainstream)

Children and young people who meet the low income or distance criteria will be eligible for a free travel pass that is valid for the journey between home and their nearest appropriate school. If the pupil is 11-16 years of age they will need to purchase an IGO pass from Transport for Greater Manchester.

The appropriate school in the case of mainstream education is the nearest school in whose catchment area the pupil resides with the capacity to accommodate them.
