For the general public, school parties, children's centres, youth groups, birthday parties etc. We are home to several varieties of farm and exotic animals and offer informative talks and demonstrations as well as hands on experience of feeding lambs and other baby animals. Smithills Open Farm is a great educational hands-on experience for children of all ages. Located in the beautiful Smithills countryside, we provide an enlightening and exciting experience for all , giving children the opportunity to learn as well as enjoy themselves with lots of activities for them to take part in. Whatever, the weather this will be an exciting day for children and adults alike. We offer Pets corner, donkey rides, rides on the tractor and trailer, bouncy castles, indoor and outdoor play areas, toy tractors, nature trail, owl displays, cow milking demonstrations. Children are allowed to hold small animals such as rabbits, chicks and guinea pigs. They are also given the opportunity to feed the calves, lambs and baby goats. We have an on cafe site selling hot and cold food and snacks, hot and cold drinks and ice-creams.
