Willowbrook is experienced in offering a "Provider Pathway" to help clients navigate and choose the right care on which to spend their Personal Budgets. We are able to manage the Personal budget, help with purchasing services, and will produce fully auditable accounts at no charge to the client or the council where Willowbrook care services are used to provide home care.

More information on the Provider Pathway can be found in our Statement Of Purpose, which is available on request.

Extra Care Schemes

Willowbrook have extensive experience within Extra Care with outstanding outcomes for the tenants that live within the schemes that we support. Clients continue to live independently within their own home (with tenancy rights) whilst providing care personalised and responsive to individual requirements, including the safety net of our onsite care team to meet unplanned care & support needs.

We help clients enjoy the wider aspects of life (social, recreational) and address challenges of social isolation by linking to the wider community, offering opportunities for clients to access health services and to stay connected with the community.

Willowbrook have recently been chosen by Blackburn With Darwen Council to run their flagship supported living scheme, Riverside Heights.

Roving Nights

Willowbrook have been operating the East Lancashire Roving Domiciliary Night Service in partnership with Lancashire Count Council for five years and covers the localities of Hyndburn, Burnley, Pendle, Rossendale, and the Ribble Valley.

The service provides short-term support aligned closely to support integrated Health & Social Care. The service responds to emergencies in between scheduled visits and links into Crisis Response Service.

Willowbrook support a higher proportion of people in their own homes to avoid unnecessary admissions to hospital or residential care, and work collaboratively with other providers of support to reduce fragmentation of care and duplication of provision, and to provide a service that is responsive, reliable, and flexible ensuring that clients are not accessing the service indefinitely.

The service is available between the hours of 10.00pm and 7.00am and provided by either one or two care workers. Clients have an initial Assessment to identify a need for the service. A Care Plan is outlined and agreed, with tasks clearly identified.

Willowbrook operate a flexible service by increasing and decreasing the number of care staff available against anticipated demand and ensuring capacity is available to meet the demands of the service at short notice.

The Roving Nights service is unique to East Lancashire and Willowbrook have developed the service from the original Lancashire County Council tender and have been proactive in changing the scope of the contract to provide further cost savings to Lancashire County Council.

City & Guilds Accredited Training Centre

The commitment to training has led to the development of a first class and City & Guilds accredited in house training facility, through which the company is in complete control of the level and quality of the training provided to its staff.

This has allowed an unusually high proportion of staff to be qualified to QCF level 2, 3 and 4 Health & Social Care.  All staff undertake a rigorous basic training programme and this is a key resource to providing the highest quality of care. The training not only covers the basic care skills which are required but a great range of other activities which are designed to complement the strategic market areas targeted for growth.

We work closely with Work Force Development Partnership using the approved NMDS Database for training needs which links with The Care Quality Commission and Local Authority quality compliance.

Conclusion

Willowbrook is very experienced in managing large contracts and budgets. We have worked extensively with Lancashire County Council on contracts delivering services including Crisis Intervention, Extra Care and pilot projects including hospital discharge. We have developed a genuine expertise and delivered significant additional value. As a forward thinking company with innovative ideas we are always open to new opportunities to progress, develop and pilot new projects that can offer quality care, value for money and significant cost savings.
