Incredible Edible Ramsbottom
We are a bunch of volunteers of all ages and abilities who share and enthusiasm for making Ramsbottom beautiful and sustainable. We are part of the global Incredible Edible network. Our intention is to encourage the growing and sharing of food in Ramsbottom. We plant fruit, veg, herbs, and bee friendly flowers in public spaces around the town. Everyone is welcome to help themselves to the produce.
During the winter we meet on an ad hoc basis and more regular in the summer months. We’d love you to get involved, it’s a great way to make friends and great for your health and wellbeing.

Volunteer in an Orchard, conserve a unique local landscape.
The first Sunday of the month (unless advertised differently) is the general open volunteer session. This is a good entry point for people to come and see what we are about. The work changes with the season, it could be winter pruning, autumn harvesting, scything, planting - lots of variety. Families welcome.
We have a weekly session that is scheduled a month in advance. This one is always mid-week and suits retired or flexible workers. Come to meet us on a Sunday session and you may then migrate into this group. They are small sessions and weather dependent, but always plenty to do and great camaraderie between the volunteers.

Incredible Edible Tottington
Incredible Edible has returned to the TWIGS site at Station Yard, just off the Kirklees Trail in Tottington. The site can be accessed from The Lines or from Kirklees Street.
We have been busy repairing old planters, cutting back and pruning unruly fruit canes and trees, and generally getting ready for the next planting season.
Volunteers can get involved with weeding, tidying, pruning, building, and watering, anything else that can help get us to create a fruit and veg garden for the benefit of the local community.
We hold regular group sessions, both midweek and at weekends. No experience is necessary as we’re all learning together, and tools can be provided. Please see Facebook or email for dates of regular sessions.
Part of the Bury Incredible Edible Network.
