Incredible Edible Tottington

Incredible Edible has returned to the TWIGS site at Station Yard, just off the Kirklees Trail in Tottington. The site can be accessed from The Lines or from Kirklees Street.

We have been busy repairing old planters, cutting back and pruning unruly fruit canes and trees, and generally getting ready for the next planting season.

Volunteers can get involved with weeding, tidying, pruning, building, and watering, anything else that can help get us to create a fruit and veg garden for the benefit of the local community.

We hold regular group sessions, both midweek and at weekends. No experience is necessary as we’re all learning together, and tools can be provided. Please see Facebook or email for dates of regular sessions.

Part of the Bury Incredible Edible Network.

We’d love you to join us. For more information, please contact Kylie or Jane via our Facebook page TWIGS Incredible Edible Tottington or on email:

Tottington Litter Pickers

Established in 2018 to combat the rise of littering in our beautiful village and surrounding countryside. We now have over 200 members scattered around the area. If you want to help to keep Tottington free from litter, we encourage you to “Adopt your street” and can provide you with equipment so that you can go out picking as and when you like. We also arrange group picks to target “Grot Spots” where we all get together to make a big difference.

Ramsbottom Civic Pride

Our group was formed in September 2022, we work alongside Litter Picking Ramsbottom, and are supported by Bury Council and Local Councillors, to improve the public gardens and greenspaces in our town.

  • ‘Big Meets’ once a month - organised gardening groups, which will take place at several locations across Ramsbottom.

  • ‘Great Gardeners’ are those who meet weekly to look after a particular garden (or part of one).

  • ‘Weed Warriors’ volunteers who wish to go out at a time and place to suit their own schedule.

Why not come to one of our ‘Sit Down Meets’ on the first Monday of the month to find out more.

We ask our volunteers to do as much or as little as they like, and we all keep in touch via Messenger or WhatsApp.
