Child Death Overview Panel Reports
Child Death Overview Panels are responsible for reviewing the death of every child within the areas for which they are responsible. Their aim is to identify factors that contributed to the deaths that could be changed to prevent more deaths in future.
The panels produce annual reports summarising patterns in child deaths and identifying the most common modifiable factors and making recommendations to Health and Wellbeing Boards and others to minimise child deaths in future. Bury, Oldham, and Rochdale share a single Child Death Overview Panel. Their most recent reports can be accessed below:
