Alcohol during Pregnancy

Alcohol during Pregnancy

For generations, we’ve been given mixed messages about whether there is a safe time or amount of alcohol to drink during pregnancy. NHS guidance now states that no amount of alcohol is safe for mums-to-be to drink. FASD stands for Foetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder and is an umbrella term used to describe the range of lifelong disabilities that can occur to a child, as a result of drinking alcohol during pregnancy.

There is no safe time or safe amount of alcohol to drink during pregnancy. For further information or advice around gaining support, visit https://www.drymester.org.uk/
