Welcome to the webpage for the EarlyYears Advisors. We support and advise Private, Voluntary and Independent (PVI) childcare settings throughout Bury to implement the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework as prescribed by the government.
We are made up of professional and experienced early years practitioners who are able to both support and challenge practice to improve outcomes for children. Our aim through various projects and initiatives is to narrow the gap between the highest and lowest achieving children.
Our work is often out in the community as we work very closely with all early years providers. We also help to co-ordinate a range of networks for early years practitioners in Bury in order to develop and improve high quality practice.
Our current priorities are:
- Working with Schools and Children’s Centres to ensure children are ready for school
- Working in Partnership with Children's Centres, Schools, PVI providers and childminders.
- Supporting Providers currently graded by OFSTED as Inadequate or Requiring Improvement to support them to improve this grade at the next inspection.
- Working alongside the Parenting and Families Team to facilitate the partnerships between settings and Parents/Carers to improve the Home Learning Environment.
- The delivery and commissioning of networks training.
- Supporting new providers to be ready for their first OFSTED inspection
