Welcome to the webpage for the EarlyYears Advisors. We support and advise Private, Voluntary and Independent (PVI) childcare settings throughout Bury to implement the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework as prescribed by the government.
We are made up of professional and experienced early years practitioners who are able to both support and challenge practice to improve outcomes for children. Our aim through various projects and initiatives is to narrow the gap between the highest and lowest achieving children.
Our work is often out in the community as we work very closely with all early years providers. We also help to co-ordinate a range of networks for early years practitioners in Bury in order to develop and improve high quality practice.
Our current priorities are:
Supporting children and their families to be ready for school via Family Hub and Children's Centre offer and quality in Early Years Provision
Working in Partnership with Children's Centres, Schools, PVI providers and childminders.
Supporting Providers who:
- self identify training needs
- need is identified by Ofsted
- need is identified by the Early Years Team
This is done via the Request for Support offer.
Working alongside the Family Hub and Children's Centre team to facilitate the partnerships between settings and Parents/Carers to improve the Home Learning Environment.
The delivery and commissioning of networks and training
Supporting new providers with quality and be ready for their first OfSTED inspection.
