About this service
Elmhurst Short Stay is part of our older people's service and offers respite for a variety of reasons. These include regular breaks for carers and families, temporary stays due to house renovations, awaiting equipment, or waiting for homecare services to begin. It also supports individuals following a hospital stay when there is a need for recovery, rehabilitation, or convalescence.
You may have heard the term IMC, which stands for intermediate care—scroll down for more information on this. Elmhurst also provides support following urgent or unforeseen emergency situations that require people to vacate their homes immediately or to ensure their safety. Additionally, it can be used as a holiday for your own benefit.
