Oral care for children with additional needs by the Community Dental Service

Referral for Oral Care to the Community Dental Service         

In Heywood, Middleton and Rochdale, Bury and Oldham Referrals are accepted for children with additional care requirements or that require specialist care that is unable to be managed by a General Dental Practitioner (GDP).

·      Anxious children unable to cope in a General Dental Practice, or those patients requiring inhalation sedation.

·      Children who require specialist dental management, e.g. defective teeth, missing teeth or abnormally formed teeth, cleft lip and palate, dental trauma, oral pathology.

Referrals can be made only by non-dental professionals; your referral will be returned to you if sufficient information is not supplied. Please see downloadable referral form.
