In 2021, 91.9% of residents in Bury identified with at least one UK national identity only (English, Welsh, Scottish, Northern Irish, British, and Cornish), a decrease from 94.8% in 2011. This is reflective of the trend in England and Wales as 90.3% (53.8 million) of usual residents identified with at least one UK national identity, which is a slight decrease from 92.0% (51.6 million) in 2011.
