A voluntary youth organisation supported by the RAF. Provides progressive training providing necessary life skills and knowledge.

Training varies from formal lectures to hands on projects including flying, Gliding, Sport, Aviation, Adventure Training, Band & Duke of Edinburgh Award.

Technical training is ground based to provide essential knowledge in preparation for flying and gliding activities and to help piloting skills.

Successful completion of this syllabus leads to a Btec in Aviation Studies. Meetings at Castle Armoury Bury on Tuesdays and Fridays 7.30 - 9.30pm.

There are also Air Training Corps units in Heywood, Radcliffe and Rawtenstall.
