The Enterprise Centre is a registered Charity and Company Limited by Guarantee. It also operates as Naturally Enterprising from our now purpose-built outdoor alternative education centre, which is situated in the heart of The Kirklees Valley Trail and 24 acres of Nature Reserve.
Equine-assisted learning is a skill-building method where people work with horses to achieve particular personal or professional goals. A client/ student will work with a trained facilitator who makes a unique lesson plan based on what the person wants and needs. The facilitator will guide a participant through lessons in horse care, observing horse behaviour and communication. They will link how horses behave back to lessons on how humans think and behave.
We have specially selected horses that have been raised from colts using natural horsemanship techniques and qualified teaching specialist staff, highly experienced in various special educational needs, particularly in autism, social and emotional imbalances and ADHD.
Ali is a qualified teacher, equine psychologist, NLP and CBT coach and Medicinal herbalist for animals. After teaching in the public sector for 20 years she decided to build a custom, Equine Assisted Learning Centre to provide help and educational services for those who struggle in mainstream
Dannie is a qualified teacher As well as equine expertise, Dannie is able to give private tuition in Maths, English and Science. We incorporate our learning into practical activities that works around the horses and other animals so that our students find it fun.
