Bury Archives and family history has books on all aspects of Bury's history. The majority of these books are for reference only but we do have a small selection that can be borrowed if you have a Bury library card. We also have a range of historical publications for sale. Additional material is available on microfilm or microfiche format. Microfilm/fiche viewers are available but must be booked in advance.

The search room is available to consult original archives, maps, local publications, church record transcripts etc. We are an appointment only service so please contact us prior to your visit. All of our holdings are listed on the Bury Archives Catalogue and Bury Library Catalogue (local history holdings) so that you can provide us with details of the records you wish to view.

Lockers are available to store personal effects and only pencils can be used in the search room.

Please contact us if you wish to arrange a visit.
