Bury is one of the premier hockey clubs in the North West. We were formed in 2004 as Bury Grammar School Old Boys (BGSOB) and joined with Elton Ladies and Bury Jaguars in 2012, simply becoming Bury Hockey Club.

BHC have had a successful number of seasons over the past 13 seasons with the Men's 1st XI now in Division 1 North of the North West Hockey League once starting in the lowest division and working our way up. The Men's 2nd XI are currently in Division 4 North South of the same league after gaining promotion in 2016/17.

The Ladies' section joined with Bury HC in 2012, before they were Elton Ladies. The Ladies' 1st XI are currently in Division 1 of the Greater Manchester Women's Hockey League. The Ladies' 2nd XI are in Division 2 and the Ladies’ 3rd XI are in Division 3 of the same league.

A thriving Junior section is also part of the club under the title- 'Bury Jaguars'
