A co-ordinated approach is needed to help and protect children and adults at risk through collaborative working across organisations and agencies. This is crucial so that practitioners are able to recognise, respond and fulfil their Safeguarding responsibilities.

In Bury, partner agencies have created all age Safeguarding arrangements known as the Bury Integrated Safeguarding Partnership (BISP).

This independent Partnership will set out how the organisations involved in Safeguarding adults and children will work in a collaborative way to put children and adults at risk central to the work that is carried out.
