After our online adventure during lockdown we are pleased to announce that Bury Youth Theatre is returning to its home at The Met in September.
We will, of course, have a few changes in place to make sure that everyone is kept safe.
We are splitting our group into two! We will now have an 8-11s group and a 12+ group.
We will be accepting new members for the first three weeks of term only. This is to protect the bubbles that we will be creating for our delivery. If you find us and want to get involved after this, you will be placed on a waiting list for the next term.
We would like all members to pay in half termly blocks online using the link on this page.
We have a bright, shiny new Risk Assessment that outlines everything that we are doing to keep you and our staff safe in this new world. You can read it for yourself here.
BYT is a home for creative young people, where you can explore theatre skills and build your confidence in a safe and supportive environment. We specialise in creating devised theatre, exploring improvisation, physical and vocal skills, scriptwriting and more to enable young people to make unique theatre that reflects them.
BYT is a place where you can be yourself, surrounded by a group of likeminded friends.
New members, please get in touch with theyoungcompany@themet.org.uk before signing up.
