Apprenticeships

For 16 - 18 year olds, there are a wide range of apprenticeships available meaning that the are equipped with skills and knowledge to become a permanent member of a work force.

NLTG understand that after school, further time in a classroom at college may not be the first choice for many people. That's where an apprenticeship can bridge the gap between education and employment and offer the best of both worlds, so you earn as you learn.

99% of the apprentices that are placed by North Lancs Training Group go on to secure permanent employment at the businesses they were placed in and with over 250,000 workplaces offering apprenticeship places, there is bound to be an area of interest that suits you.

Earnings are at least the national minimum wage for an apprentice. However, this is a minimum and most companies pay more or will increase wages quickly as you progress.

The length of an apprenticeship depends on the level and type of apprenticeship that you choose to study.  In general, a Level 2 apprenticeship will last between 12 and 18 months, while a Level 3  or Level 4 apprenticeship will last between 18 and 24 months.

Adults 19+

As an Adult Apprentice you will advance your skills and knowledge of an industry through studying an apprenticeship while you work. You're able to do it within your current job or you can apply for apprenticeship vacancies if you are currently unemployed.

Apprenticeships are nationally recognised qualifications available at a range of levels. If you are currently employed, an Adult Apprenticeship allows you to develop new skills, experience and abilities through on-the-job training.

An apprenticeship won't affect the wage that you earn, but it may help towards a pay increase and promotion as you become qualified and more competent.

Employers

If you're an employer and you're looking to upskill your workforce, North Lancs Training Group can support you whether you are looking to recruit and train a single member of staff or develop the skills of a whole team.

As well as supporting you through the apprenticeship process, NLTG can provide a range of commercial course to your workforce to enhance your business and the skill set that you provide to customers.

With a range of courses from hospitality to health & safety, no matter the industry you're in, there are a range of courses that can not only enhance employee skills, but that can also improve your overall business.
