JEWEL are commissioned to deliver Prestwich Works which aims to support residents into employment and/or training. Adopting a person centred approach, by tailoring support to meet individual needs, Prestwich Works also works with a range of partners that can reduce the barriers to residents finding and retaining employment, such as childcare, debt and housing.

Prestwich Works is available to anyone of working age, from across the borough, providing a range of opportunities such as:

Professional careers information, advice and guidance.

• Certified and non-certified training opportunities.
• Support with social concerns such as housing, debt and benefits.
• Help to navigate and apply for jobs on Universal Job Match, with computer access available on site.
• Opportunities to attend employment focused workshops.
• Access to a careers library.
• Help creating or updating CVs and other job hunting tools.

The service has a strong track record of helping people into work, by customising support to meet individual needs and aligning residents with the wide range of services and activities that are readily available.
