Parents/carers from key worker groups who require information about school place availability should email the admissions team at admissions@bury.gov.uk or, if you do not have access to email,  telephone 0161 253 5670 and leave a message. Please note that admissions staff will respond to your query as soon as possible. Their hours of work will be 8.30-4.45pm, Monday to Friday.

The team co-ordinates the Department's responsibilities for pupil place planning and school organisation. It supports the strategic development of school provision, and contributes to the development of plans and strategies in order for the Authority to fulfill its statutory duties in relation to the supply of school places and school admissions.

The team provides advice and guidance to staff, schools, governors, parents, Elected Members etc. on interpretation of school organisation, legislation, policy and procedures, as well as collating statistical data to support departments across Children's Services.
