Due to the current situation regarding COVID-19 and the required social distancing measures, the Speech and Language Therapy Service is changing the way they support children and families.
Our team are keeping in contact with children/ families on our current caseloads either via telephone or video call. You should have received a letter inviting you to make contact with the Team should you wish to discuss your child’s speech and language needs. Please use the contact information provided on the letter as this is specific to your child’s Therapist. If you are unsuccessful reaching your Therapist you can contact our Team Leader Kirsten Brooks (see contact details on this page) who will ensure your message is passed on.
Please explore this page for further information, advice and activities relating to speech, language and communication development.

Requests for assessments can be made by parents, GPs, Health Visitors, School Nurses, Paediatricians, Special Educational Needs Coordinators or other professionals involved with the child.
The ‘request for assessment’ forms can be found in the files section below. Please note there are separate forms for preschool and school aged children with speech, language and communication needs. Please ensure all sections are completed. The information you provide will help our understanding of the child’s unique skill set and how their speech, language and communication needs are impacting on their daily life.
