SPACE is a multi-sensory room which is available to anyone with special needs. It is adaptable to meet the needs of many different clients whatever their age.

SPACE is used regularly by those with Developmental delay, cerebral palsy, autism, Learning Disability, profound multiple learning difficulties, challenging behaviours, brain injury and emotional difficulties Individuals or groups attend SPACE with their own carers, therapists or teachers. SPACE staff are always available to give advice on making the best use of SPACE and its equipment. Specific training sessions can be arranged.

• Theatre lighting to set the scene
• Advanced light /sound system which allows users to select appropriate themes
• High quality sound system with 3 zones to enable different activities in different parts of the environment
• Data projectors to project DVDs and other images
• Cameras to allow clients to watch themselves through projection
• Slide and stairs for movement and fun
• Bubble tubes for relaxation
• visual and tactile stimulation
• Solar 250 projectors for visual stimulation and theme work
• Ball pool for movement and body image work
• Fibre optics for visual and tactile stimulation;
• Swing for vestibular stimulation
• Water bed for relaxation
• Fibre optic hut, a magical hideaway
• Wind machine, a different stimulus
• UV light and fluorescent materials for visual work Tactile walls
• Individual sensory boxes for specific sensory work

Specialised switches to give control to the client of most of the above equipment.

Space now offers TWO Changing Places rooms. A new addition is SPACE 3 is a small multi-sensory room for one/two clients. This is a room that has many amazing features and looks out onto the beautiful gardens.
