Bury2Gether is a forum for parents/carers of children and young people with SEND who access services in Bury. Bury2Gether works with education, social care, health and other services to ensure that parent/carer voices are represented when designing services for children and young people and their families in Bury.

Bury2Gether provides a forum to:

  • Meet and socialise with other parents/carers

  • Get involved in shaping services in Bury and consultations around SEND

  • Find activities and services, share information and access training or workshops

  • Find out about regular family events, coffee mornings, wellbeing sessions and clubs

  • Join with social media chats and topics of discussion

Family Fund supports families living across the UK who are raising a disabled or seriously ill child or young person up to the age of 17. Support is focused on those on low incomes and families can apply for a range of things such as kitchen appliances, clothing, bedding, games, books and music, laptops and tablets, family breaks and sensory toys.

Early Help means identifying needs within families early and providing support and intervention at an early stage.  Early Help support can be provided at any time in a child’s/ young person's life. The Early Help team works closely with other services so that the right support can be accessed at the right time.

Early Break

Early Break

Early Break is a service available across different areas of Greater Manchester. The service is designed to meet the needs of children and young people and families with regard to drug and alcohol use and mental health. They offer a range of services, including advocacy support for children and young people and support for families.

In Bury, Early Break also offers a confidential helpline for residents of all ages who are experiencing difficulties with their mental wellbeing. They offer support by giving advice, guidance and signposting to appropriate services. You can call them on 0161 464 3679.
