During the COVID-19 lockdown, our service is not seeing people in person, like many other services.

So, to accommodate the needs of people in experiencing mental health, we are making two significant changes during this period.

We are offering video support groups via Zoom. It’s really easy to use. You just need an internet connected device. Once you have downloaded the App, we do all the technical stuff.

We are running a phone support service. That means, we are ringing people up to check in with them, provide emotional support and signposting and referrals to other services when needed.

For more information please contact the team on 07758737616 (office hours Mon-Fri), or email jordanfahy@buryinvolvementgroup.org

Do you suffer from anxiety and/or depression?

Our weekly Anxiety and Depression support group is free and open to anyone over the age of 18 who'd like support if they are feeling anxious or depressed. The group is a safe space for people to come together to share their experiences, listen and learn from others in a none judgemental environment. BIG is a local charity run by people with their own lived experience so we understand how hard it can be to life with a mental health condition.

We meet Monday evenings at 6.30pm – 8.30pm (Please arrive by 6.30 if you can)

This group is held in the Re-Start Room, at the Castle Leisure Centre,
Bolton Street, Bury, BL9 0EZ.

Friendly and supportive. No referrals. No waiting lists. No pressure to speak. Just turn up.

What people say:

“I find it easy to talk in the groups; it’s not judgemental.”

“It’s a friendly and safe environment.”
