For those who are deaf or have a hearing loss.

Please let us know if you are dropping in as we are still restricting numbers.. We are here to help you with your needs including:

  • Battery exchange
  • Information
  • Support
  • Social activities
  • Training
  • Sign posting

We provide the following activities;

  • We have a monthly Wednesday Drop in 11-2pm
  • We have a ladies craft group that meet at the centre 2nd Wednesday of the month. They make cards, jewellery, silk painting, knotting, crocheting and many more activities (men also welcome!)
  • We provide Deaf Awareness Training
  • We have a hearing aid user focus group and lip reading classes

The tutor who teaches lip-reading, will also advise how to look after your hearing aid, how to get the best use out of your hearing aid. The group demonstrates equipment for the home. Please email or phone for further details

We refer to an independent Advocacy Service for Deaf people. The Advocates can communicate in Sign Language. We have a referral form and can be contacted on 0161 7634882 to make an appointment

We are always seeking new volunteers to help with all our activities including fundraising. We are also looking for Community Champions in our local communities to provide information and support to those with a hearing loss.
