Free Nursery Education, also known as Early Education and Childcare (EEC) and Extened Free Entitlement (EFE), is available for all 3 and 4 year olds and also 2 year olds who meet certain criteria.

30 hours’ (EFE) for 3 & 4 year olds

The government is committed to give working parents of three and four year olds 30 hours of free childcare per week from September 2017.  This comprises of 15 hours EEC (as above) plus 15 hours Extended Free Entitlement (EFE)

2 year old funding can be accessed by completing the 2 year old funding application online referral form.  This form can also be accessed from the Bury Council Webpage Free eduction and childcare for 2 year olds  or please contact your local Children's Centre or other professional e.g.health visitor or social worker.
