Manchester Deaf Centre is the heart of Great Manchester's deaf community.  We are a hub for inclusion, advocacy, accessibility, support, training and information.

We are proud to provide a range of services that support and empower our deaf community.  We can also provide BSL/English interpreters and deliver training to increase knowledge around deaf awareness.

We have the following activities and groups

The Wellbeing Group - Our Well-being Group offers you a place where you can come to share experiences with other D/deaf people, meet new people and socialise. The group was established to help to improve self-confidence and offer the chance to try new activities that can support positive well-being and health in an enjoyable way.

Manchester Deaf Social Club - Every Monday,10:00-15:30, Bingo: 14:00-15:00 at The James Herriot Hall at Manchester deaf Centre

Twice a year MDC host Grand Bingo, an all-day Saturday event which is highly anticipated by the social club members. The committee also organise coach trips, it is a wonderful way for isolated members of the deaf community to engage, socialise and visit new places!

Riley’s Bar: MDC’s Social Bar - Riley’s Bar at Manchester Deaf Centre, which opened in August 2021, is proving popular as a meeting place. It is a relaxed lounge and bar, with a range of hot and cold drinks and light snacks. This social space is welcoming to all and is an ideal city centre location for catching up with friends. It can be hired for events too and has hosted a variety of talks, meetings and parties.
