Hello my name is Susan Beresford. I am an OFSTED registered Childminder in the Walshaw Area of Bury. I am a small family run childminding service.

I look after a few children at a time as I like to have a home from home atmosphere. We go out most days to either dancing and singing, toddler groups, childminder drop ins or the park. We spend a lot of time outdoors. We like crafts, baking, colouring, drawing and messy play.

I monitor the children's progress using an online system which you can access from home. I am registered with OFSTED and follow the EYFS guidelines. I have Safeguarding and first aid training as well as many more.

I was graded outstanding in Feb 2019.

Anonymous Reviewer 10 December 2020: My boys were cared for by Sue for over 7 years. We found her friendly and professional and always with the boys' best interests at heart. Sue provides a lovely home from home setting with fantastic activities, lots of outdoor and creative play, plus a wide range of activities outside the home such as music sessions, toddler groups, dancing, parks etc. She provided good meals and snacks, and daily reports on what they had been doing. My boys loved going to Aunty Sue and thrived under her care, we were very upset when we had to move on, but we have made a wonderful friend for life.
Anonymous Reviewer 10 December 2020: Sue has been looking after my little girl since she was 8.5 months old, she is now nearly 2 and I have never looked back from the day we chose for her to be looked after by Sue! As a first time Mum I was understandably anxious about childcare; which was better? Nursery or childminder? I went to look around nurseries and none of them made me feel great, I met another childminder and that didn't feel right either. When I met Sue I knew immediately that she was The One! One of the best things about Sue, and there are many, is that she tailors childcare to you express wishes and preferences. My baby didn't nap except for in a sling- no problem, Sue wore her in a sling! She is now far more esteemed at getting my toddler to nap than I am. We are also vegetarian and, although this was new to Sue, she tailored her meal plans to completely accomodate my little ones diet. Sue has also been so accomodating to my hours at work, which have changed several times since starting with her. Sue doesn't have 'too many' children and I am confident the time Betsy gets with her is quality; the way she speaks about "Shue" is testament to that. I get a daily notebook update of all the adventures they have had together, including what she did (and didn't!) eat and how many nappy changes she has etc. She is more than a childminder now, she feels like part of the family and her own daughter and the other kids that go there are all shining stars in both my eyes, and in Betsy's too!
