The coronavirus outbreak means that life has changed for all of us, and it's natural that this may cause you to feel worried or anxious, lonely or frustrated.
Make sure you keep talking to people about how you feel, and find time to do things you enjoy. For most of us, these difficult feelings will pass.
The Bury Getting Helpline is a confidential service run by the voluntary sector for people of all ages who are experiencing difficulties with their mental wellbeing. Call 0161 464 3679 Monday to Saturday 8am to 8pm.
If you feel you need some extra support, Bury's got the right care for you. You can find out more about the support available by visiting the Health & Wellbeing Digital Hub section of The Bury Directory, plus there are some additional useful resources below.
Mental health and wellbeing
- Download the Greater Manchester leaflet that provides advice on Wellbeing and mental health during COVID-19. A guide to looking after yourself and others
- Every Mind Matters provides simple tips and advice to start taking better care of your mental health. If you are still struggling after several weeks and it is affecting your daily life, please contact NHS 111 online. If you have no internet access, you should call NHS 111.

- Mental Health Foundation. Information about how to overcome fear and anxiety
- Rethink Mental Illness have set up this online hub to provide practical support and information that is useful for people living with, or supporting people with mental illness
- Visit the NHS mental health and wellbeing advice website for self-Assessment, audio guides and practical tools, if you are experiencing stress, feelings of anxiety or low mood.
Keeping active
- Public Health England. You can access free easy ten minute work outs from Public Health England or try other exercise videos at home on the NHS Fitness Studio
